Are you looking for a full-time or flexible school support role? Do you have experience helping others develop?
Pertemps is partnering with an outstanding SEND provision for Primary & Secondary pupils near Thetford & Norwich. The school uses advanced indoor and outdoor therapy tools for children struggling to access mainstream education.
We are offering open and casual school visits before the end of the summer term to help you get a feel for the environment, discuss your experience, and explore what the school offers to staff and pupils.
The position starts in September, with options for Monday to Friday or part-time work. School hours are from 8:30 to 16:00 during term time. There is no formal interview; if you enjoy your visit, the school will confirm your start date in August 2024.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, or Mentor (not essential)
* Experience working with children or those with mental health needs
* Owns a personal vehicle and full driving license (preferred, as the school is in Norfolk countryside)
* Available from September 2024, Monday to Friday or part-time
* Owns a DBS Enhanced Certificate on the Update Service (not essential)
* Able to visit the school for a relaxed meeting and tour in the next two weeks
* Personality and aptitude for supporting children of various abilities and ages
* Experience with behaviour therapy, autism, ADHD, or complex needs
* Volunteering or relevant experience working with children is a plus
This role is managed through Pertemps Education, paid weekly on Fridays during term time, with a competitive rate of £97.50 per day via Umbrella.
