Tradewind is seeking a finance assistant to support a secondary school in St Albans. This is an initial contract with the expectation to become permanent after the summer.
Role Overview
Are you experienced in finance or school administration and looking for a varied, ongoing role? The successful candidate will assist the school's Business Manager with a range of tasks, requiring attention to detail and a personable approach. Responsibilities include communicating with parents and students regarding payments, processing invoices, and managing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing invoices and payment runs (Purchase Ledger)
* Monitoring and recording accounts, reporting to management and SLT
* Month-end procedures and reconciliations
* Posting transactions and journals
* Handling cash from fundraisers, setting up Just Giving pages, managing school card systems, collecting trip payments
* School supplies procurement, ensuring quality and fair pricing

* Background in finance or stable school administration experience
