Working hours: 20 hours per week
Working details: Mon & Thurs 9am-3pm, Tues & Weds 9am-2pm (30-minute break daily)

Worthing Salvation Army is a vibrant church with a range of community activities.
An opportunity has arisen to appoint an Administrator to provide a wide range of administrative and practical support to the Corps (church),under the direction of the Corps Officer (church leader). The successful applicant will enjoy supporting and enhancing the smooth running of our church and the work it does in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain computer and hard copy filing systems to a high standard
2. Arrange regular servicing of equipment
3. Maintain Corps and Community accounts, including dealing with petty cash
4. Be a key holder and maintain the key holder list
5. Coordinate the Volunteer Receptionist rota
6. Check stock to determine inventory levels, anticipate needs and place orders
7. Assist with the organisation, administration and publicising of events
8. Deal with routine correspondence
9. Take and produce accurate minutes of meetings
10. Assist with Disclosure (DBS) and Volunteer application processes
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
11. Previous experience of working successfully in a similar administrative role
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills
13. Good interpersonal skills
14. Ability to use own initiative, plan, organise and prioritise tasks effectively
15. Awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements e.g. health and safety, data protection, safeguarding, equality and diversity
16. Relevant experience of using Microsoft Office Packages: Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
