Job Description
The Chief Marine Engineer is accountable to RRPS Chief Engineer Mobile for Safety and Fitness of Purpose of NautIQ Solutions products.
Key Responsibilities are:
Maintain Product Safety in accordance with Rolls-Royce Policy and relevant legislationApply HSE Compliance to products.Capability Leadership and Development of engineering across NautIQ Solutions UKLead Knowledge Management and IP.Manage Stakeholder relationships between Engineering, Technology & Safety and NautIQ Solutions.Support Business Capability and Resource Planning.Qualifications and Skills

Masters or Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering subjectChartered Engineer status in an appropriate disciplineSignificant and proven electrical engineering experienceProven ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and to make balanced decisions in complex situations and with incomplete informationProven, extensive experience in provisioning optimised design/function solutionsDemonstrable understanding of process driven product change controlProduct Introduction Lifecycle Management experience etc.Has an excellent working-level knowledge & experience of all relevant technical skills and is widely recognised as suchDesirable
Significant and proven domain knowledge and experience of naval or marine automation optimisation.Knowledge and experience of delivering systems complying with naval and marine standards, specifications and safety standardsAppropriate domain design/functional domain knowledge to facilitate competent oversight of deployed engineering deliveryExperience applying Systems Engineering approach or equivalent (Robust Design, Black belt, PELA etc.); advocate of OPS and positive change
