Job Description
To undertake initial viability assessments and formal Kinship Care Assessments in line with promoting the safe care and best interests of placed children. To identify the support needs of Kinship Carers and ensure the provision of direct support in line with the needs of Carers and placed children. \n To carry out duties in line with the requirements of the Children Act (Scotland) Act 1995, Getting it Right for Every Child in Kinship and Foster Care, Looked After Children (Scotland) Regulations 2009, Adoption and Children (Scotland) Act 2007 & the Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
Service to be provided in the community, individuals’ homes and office on a confidential basis. To work within Aberdeenshire Council’s procedures and guidance for Kinship Carers and Looked After Children. \n There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
