PPA Cover Teacher / SEN Support – Washington (2 Days per Week)
Location: Washington (Primary School)
Pay: £130 – £180 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 2 Days per Week | Mornings (SEN Support) & Afternoons (PPA Cover)

Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher / SEN Support professional to work in a welcoming primary school in Washington.
This unique part-time role offers the opportunity to combine targeted SEN support in the mornings with PPA cover teaching in the afternoons, making it ideal for teachers seeking flexibility and variety.
The Role
Morning – SEN Support:
1. Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs
2. Support children with SEND (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
3. Implement strategies from EHCPs/IEPs
4. Promote engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
5. Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
Afternoon – PPA Cover:
6. Deliver pre-planned lessons across different year groups
7. Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
8. Ensure continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence
9. Manage behaviour effectively and engage all learners
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a flexible and confident educator who can adapt across roles:
10. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong HLTA/cover experience
11. Experience supporting pupils with SEND
12. Confident delivering lessons across KS1 and/or KS2
13. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
14. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
