Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Our client, a global organisation, urgently requires a Payroll Specialist for a long-term contract.
The role:
1. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all divisional payrolls on a monthly basis.
2. Ensure all divisional payroll accounts with HMRC are correct, investigate any discrepancies, and handle remittances for third parties.
3. Provide expertise on complex escalated issues and queries for HR and Payroll processing teams.
4. Understand the impact of Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental Leave, and Sick Pay on payroll to ensure statutory compliance.
5. Manage relationships with HMRC regarding Tax and National Insurance queries.
6. Handle contractual administration for the executive population using the Workday system.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in a payroll environment.
* Experience with computerized payroll systems (SAP or Workday preferred).
* Knowledge of PAYE, SMP, SPP, SSP, Student Loans, Pensions, and other deductions.
* Proven customer service skills, both verbal and written.
* Recognized payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) preferred.
* A Levels or higher qualification advantageous.
