Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and friendly CT team at The Countess of Chester Hospital on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave. We currently have 4 Canon CT scanners, 3 at the Countess and 1 at our community diagnostic hub in Ellesmere Port Hospital. We have a well-established cardiac CT service and have strong links with the cardiology, stroke and trauma teams. The Countess of Chester hospital is a trauma unit and the regional vascular centre. Experience in CT in an acute NHS trust is essential for this role. There is a requirement to work weekends and participate in the out of hour’s service. You will also be required to work across both sites at the Countess of Chester and Ellesmere Port Hospitals. To produce high quality images across the spectrum of CT examinations. To manage and support the band 5 Radiographers and students To ensure the smooth operation of the CT service To be responsible for the standards of care provided within the CT departmentIn collaboration with the (line manager), ensure resources are monitored and tailored to meet the needs of the service within the constraints of a financial budget. To promote education and training within CT Keep up to date competency records Actively participate in CPD To provide a 24/7 service to support the hospital to enable a consistently safe and efficient CT service A BSc/DCR in radiography is essential and you must be registered with the HCPC.
