Job Title: Senior Network Programmer
As a Senior Network Programmer, you will be part of a critical team focusing on our custom networking architecture that serves as the backbone of our multiplayer AAA project. Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems that support user-generated content and innovative gameplay features. You are a team player, collaborate effectively with multiple departments, and mentor other team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, implement, and maintain complex network systems supporting multiplayer AAA games.
2. Debug and resolve network-related issues.
3. Profile and optimize network traffic between game clients, servers, and online services.
4. Collaborate with other teams to create safe multiplayer systems.
5. Identify and report new problems, delays, and risks to the Lead/Director.
6. Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
Requirements
* Experience as a Network Programmer in the game industry.
* Strong C++ programming and debugging skills.
* Experience profiling and optimizing code.
* Good understanding of algorithms and data structures, including complexity analysis.
* Knowledge of lag compensation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
* Shipped at least one multi-platform game on PC and current-gen consoles.
