We’re working with a range of leading organisations across Birmingham including national house builders, specialist land promoters and growing engineering consultancies who are all looking to appoint talented Civil Engineers to support their expanding technical departments.
These businesses are involved in delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments, from early-stage land acquisition and planning through to detailed design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Support land acquisition through technical due diligence and site appraisals
* Prepare and review engineering strategies including highways, drainage and utilities
* Coordinate external consultants across engineering, environmental and planning disciplines
* Contribute to planning applications with technical input and supporting documentation
* Review and manage technical drawings, reports and development constraints
* Provide value engineering solutions to optimise design, cost and buildability
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and agreements (S106, S38, S278, etc.)
* Deliver accurate technical information in line with programme and budget requirements
About You
* Experience within residential development, house building, land promotion or consultancy
* Strong understanding of highways, drainage, and infrastructure design principles
* Familiarity with planning processes and early-stage development constraints
* Knowledge of relevant agreements and regulations (S38, S104, S278, CDM, etc.)
* Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D / MicroDrainage beneficial)
* Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
