Duration: 6 months minimum Rate: Day rate or FTC (flexible) Business Size: £50m turnover Group: Part of a larger listed groupWe're supporting a £50m turnover business, part of a wider listed group, in appointing an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead on a range of financial improvement and remediation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the resolution of legacy finance issues impacting accuracy and reporting
* Oversee and improve balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
* Investigate and resolve complex rebate accounting and reporting discrepancies
* Strengthen month-end close processes and group reporting accuracy
* Support the business in aligning with group standards and audit readiness
* Provide hands-on support to the finance team and mentor junior staff where needed
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Proven experience in interim FC roles within mid-sized or group-owned businesses
* Strong reconciliation, controls, and management reporting expertise
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
* Experience with rebates or commercial finance issues is highly desirable.
