Job Description:
Our client is a UK market leader, offering rare opportunities to join their established Estates team. We are seeking interest for both Estate Surveyor and Senior Estates Surveyor positions, to take direct ownership of a significant predominantly leasehold property portfolio.
Responsibilities of a Estate/Senior Estates Surveyor
* Estate management of a varied leasehold property portfolio.
* Undertake periodic lease renewals and rent reviews.
* Liaise with company Solicitors on lease clauses and legal matters.
* Draft internal fitouts/layouts with external contractors and trades.
* Approve rents, service charges, and building insurance costs prior to payment.
* Maintain the property database ensuring data is up to date.
* Source properties for new locations and relocations, agreeing on Heads of Terms.
* Dispose of vacant properties through lease expiry, assignment, or sub-leases.
* Manage building repairs and maintenance works.
The Person
Hold an RICS-accredited degree and ideally be a qualified RICS member.
Experience in lease advisory, asset management, or estates is advantageous.
Hold a full clean driving license for UK-wide travel.
Coordinate with departments like Finance, Internal Audit, and Health & Safety.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with estates issues such as rent review, lease renewal, and property management. Further experience in acquisitions, disposals, business rates, alterations, dilapidations, and green lease issues is desirable.
