JOB TITLE: SUBSEA SYSTEMS ENGINEERING MANAGER This is fixed term contract for 12 months. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Systems & Subsea Engineering Manager is responsible for the full technical definition, integration, and engineering delivery of all SURF (Subsea Umbilical, Risers & Flowlines) systems from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and project closeout. Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (Pipelines, Umbilical, Risers, Structures, Installation, Flow Assurance, Geotechnical, Materials). Serve as the engineering focal point for the project, ensuring clear communication and coordination with Project Management, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, and Client Representatives. Own the SURF system architecture, ensuring it aligns with overall field development requirements from concept through execution. Lead integration with SPS, Controls, Flow Assurance, Geotechnical, Riser Analysis, and Topsides during FEED and detailed design. Maintain the SURF System Specification and control all system-level deviations and changes. Oversee transition from FEED into execution, ensuring seamless handover of basis-of design, requirements, and system architecture to the EPCI phase. Ensure quality and completeness of all engineering deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications, procedures, reports). Chair design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, model reviews, constructability and installation readiness reviews. Provide technical assurance throughout FEED and EXECUTION for all SURF elements: Review and approve engineering reports, drawings, installation analyses, design documents, and vendor packages and test procedures. Ensure engineering readiness for fabrication yards, umbilical factories, riser welding facilities, and spool base operations. Lead system-level verification during FAT, SIT, EFAT, and integration testing. Support offshore execution, installation readiness reviews (IRR), SIMOPS planning, and offshore commissioning. Ensure system operability and functional performance requirements are met and verified before handover. Manage technical aspects of procurement, manufacturing, FAT/SAT, and offshore execution Support bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor selection Promote safe-by-design principles from FEED through execution. Ensure engineering compliance with project HSE standards and quality management systems. Maintain technical assurance processes and engineering change control across all phases. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Subsea, Offshore, or related engineering field. Subsea/ offshore engineering experience, with at least in a senior/lead role. Proven experience delivering subsea systems in the offshore energy sector Strong knowledge of subsea hardware, umbilical, flowlines, risers, controls, and installation techniques Demonstrated leadership in FEED through execution phases of subsea projects. Strong systems engineering background and interface management experience. Proven experience in EPCI or major field development projects. Familiarity with relevant standards (API, DNV, ISO, ASME) Experience with digital engineering tools is preferred Chartered Engineer/ PE status is preferred Proven leadership of multidisciplinary subsea engineering teams Knowledge of subsea analysis methods (global dynamics, fatigue, stability, FEA). Strong understanding of offshore installation methods (S lay, J lay, reel lay). Experience managing EPCI contractors, vendors, and technical interfaces Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
