Senior AccountantWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to work within a leading Accountancy Practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients within a modern, progressive practice. The role gives the opportunity for progression due to the firms continued growth whilst focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and excellent client service while supporting and adopting new technologies.BenefitsCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesFlexible and hybrid working optionsModern, digital-first working environmentOngoing CPD and training supportOpportunities for progression as the practice continues to growHealth & wellbeing programmeOn-site parkingKey Responsibilities for Senior AccountantManage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, acting as a primary point of contactPrepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole tradersOversee preparation and submission of corporation tax returns, self-assessment returns, and VAT returnsReview bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior staffProvide proactive advice on tax planning, business structure, and financial performanceEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsTrain, mentor, and supervise junior team membersSupport process improvements and adoption of new systems and technologiesAssist with onboarding new clients and contributing to practice developmentWork closely with partners to support strategic initiatives and client growth plansSkills and Experience RequiredACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or QBE with strong practice background)Significant experience within an accountancy practice environmentStrong knowledge of UK GAAP and relevant tax legislationProficiency with cloud-based systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and digital workflow toolsExcellent communication skills and a client-focused mindsetAbility to manage multiple deadlines and work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience supervising or developing junior staffPersonal AttributesProactive and forward-thinkingComfortable with change and continuous improvementStrong attention to detailPositive, collaborative approachCommercial awareness and interest in helping clients growJob Types: Full-time, PermanentWork Location: In personTPBN1_UKTJ
