We are seeking a highly organised, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our team as an Attendance Officer to provide maternity cover.
The Attendance Officer plays a vital role in supporting our school by monitoring, promoting, and improving pupil attendance and punctuality. You will work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure that excellent attendance is maintained and barriers to learning are addressed.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring daily attendance records and identifying patterns of absence
* Communicating with parents/carers to follow up absences and lateness
* Producing attendance reports and working with senior leaders to address concerns
* Supporting interventions to promote improved attendance
* Liaising with external agencies when appropriate
The successful candidate will:
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Be confident using data systems and Microsoft Office
* Show initiative and resilience in managing sensitive situations
* Have previous experience in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
