Overview

A Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker in the newly built Emergency Department plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, timely, and compassionate care to patients experiencing urgent or life-threatening conditions. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, the post-holder supports clinical staff in managing a fast-paced, unpredictable environment where priorities can rapidly change. As part of a modern, purpose-designed ED, the role offers the opportunity to work with improved facilities, updated clinical spaces, and enhanced patient flow pathways. The new build environment supports efficient working practices, better privacy and dignity for patients, and the integration of new equipment and digital systems. The HCSW will contribute to embedding new ways of working and ensuring the department functions smoothly from day one.

* Excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Experience in the ED environment or in a fast-paced clinical setting is desirable (as part of Band 3 responsibilities).
