To provide ongoing support in the home for a young lady with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and a Learning Disability.
Main Duties: Support individuals with Spastic Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, visual impairments, and learning disabilities. Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support including personal care, feeding, washing, and dressing. Some understanding of moving and handling, transfers using equipment and hoists is required; full training will be provided. Administer medication, including emergency Epilepsy medication, with full training provided.
Hours: 12 hours per week, including weekends, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Support may involve 1, 2, or 3 calls per day, including mornings, teatime, and evenings. Work as part of a small team.
Rates of Pay: £16.88 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks pro rata.
Person Specification: Experience supporting people with disabilities is preferred but not necessary; full training provided. Genuine interest in supporting adults with complex needs. Must be flexible, patient, punctual, reliable, and respectful of confidentiality. Note: Dogs are part of the household and are friendly. An enhanced DBS check will be conducted at the employer's expense. References required upon successful interview.
