Role: Service Engineer
Location: Thirsk
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to join their busy team. The Service Engineering will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site utilities and services.
Perform inspections, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance activities.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
Implement improvements to plant and equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
Record all maintenance activities accurately within the maintenance management system.
Develop and update planned maintenance schedules and documentation.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and inspection requirements.
Maintain inspection, servicing, and certification records for site services systems.
Manage critical spare parts and coordinate stock levels with engineering stores.
Provide mechanical support to wider engineering teams as required.
Support new installations, upgrades, and small engineering projects.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience with industrial plant and site services equipment such as boilers, compressors, heating systems, and water treatment.
Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge.
