About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our growing and friendly professional team.
We are a fast-growing, client-focused accountancy practice in Pembrokeshire, looking for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience and 3–5 years in a practice environment.
This is a senior role with scope to grow as the practice continues to expand. You will act as second-in-command to the director, taking responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, coordinating and driving your own client meetings, and ensuring high standards of service across the practice.
You will prepare and review accounts and tax returns, oversee workflow, and take responsibility for ensuring team deadlines are met. You will also work closely with cloud accounting systems, supporting clients with digital accounting processes and ensuring efficient use of cloud-based software across the practice.
Our clients are generally small, straightforward businesses and individuals, allowing you to focus on high-quality, proactive accounting and tax support.
Our clients are integral to the success of our business. Your role will be to provide them with an exceptional service, assisting them in dealing with their compliance needs, while also providing input on their finance, technology and operations, and supporting them with advice and strategic planning. You will be encouraged to nurture your relationships with your clients, building trust and becoming their most valuable business partner. From that position, you will be able to identify new business opportunities within your existing portfolio and for potential clients.
Team leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
