Following an internal promotion we have a vacancy for an experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Facilities Manager. This key management position will be responsible for delivering our commitment to high safety standards and maintaining our ISO Safety) and ISO Environmental) certified management systems. The role will also support depot management with planned and emergency site/facilities management.
Key responsibilities include:
.Ensure effective systems and controls to manage safety and environmental risks across the group whilst meeting our legal/regulatory obligations
.Ensure adequate risk assessment and active monitoring arrangements in place to assess HSE risks and ensure the effectiveness and application of controls
.Investigate incidents and accidents identifying areas for improvement and propose mitigation plans.
.Member of the Group's Vison Zero Steering Group contributing to zero accidents and zero emissions goals
.Develop training and awareness campaigns to promote health and safety practices, environmental impacts and facility management.
.Liaise with depot managers and facility providers/suppliers to ensure successful delivery of planned and reactive maintenance work
.Lead on the Group's ESOS, SECR and ISO certifications audits
This role will involve travel throughout the group network and travel to external business presentations and events. The role holder will perform safety/site inspections to ensure that all building and areas are maintained to the required standard and compliance with safety/environmental policies and procedures.
About you:
.At least 3 years HSE experience in a senior role in a large, multi-site business with similar levels of complexity
. Hold a recognised H&S qualification
.Experience of Facilities Management .
.Experience of ISO certifications
.Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills
.Valid driving licence and access to a car

.Salary c£55k depending on experience
