Traffic Office Administrator
Location: Rochester, ME1 3AU
Job type: Permanent contract
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday (16:00-23:30)
About the role
The Network Distribution System Administrator will carry out tasks to ensure Royal Mail fleet runs safely, efficiently and cost‑effectively.
* Ensure the Distribution Management System is kept up to date and data correctly input daily; all drivers are de‑briefed at the end of their duty.
* Ensure CDU/FTA, the system we use to record HGV drivers' hours, is kept up to date and data correctly input daily to comply with European Legislation.
* Issue vehicle keys and log books in line with Royal Mail standards.
* Ensure digital tacho cards are downloaded in line with Royal Mail policy.
* Carry out daily debriefs with all drivers; any unresolved issues are passed onto the shift manager.
* Ensure planned maintenance is carried out on vehicles and that the maintenance board and vehicle files are kept up to date.
* Hold a current clean driving licence for driving up to 3.5t (van) to perform ad‑hoc collections & ferry drivers to vehicle workshops to collect HGV vehicles.
* Full training will be provided.
Requirements and Skills

* Computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills
* Looking for a role with targets to hit and challenges to overcome
* Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
