About the Role: As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to pupils. You will help students access the curriculum, manage behaviour, and develop important skills. Your support will help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. Responsibilities: Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of subjects. Assist in managing classroom behaviour to maintain a calm and focused learning space. Deliver 1:1 or small group support as directed by the teacher or SENCo. Prepare learning materials and offer administrative assistance to teaching staff. Promote positive attitudes, independence, and confidence among pupils. Monitor pupil progress and communicate any concerns or achievements to staff. Ensure safeguarding and pupil welfare are prioritised at all times. Requirements: Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (Essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well within a team and show initiative when needed. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years with any gaps explained.
