We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving secondary school in Heywood from September 2025.
About the Role:
As an LSA, you will play a key role in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with additional needs. Working alongside teaching staff, you will help create an inclusive learning environment that allows all students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students in and out of class.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
* Promote student independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
* Support students with SEN (Special Educational Needs), including EHCPs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistent support.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (desirable but not essential).
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support are a plus.
