Salary & Hours
Starting salary is £29,007 per annum, pro rata (£24,417.36 per annum). 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Estates & Facilities team supporting young people in an education environment, ensuring their safety and welfare is a priority.
Responsibilities
* Manage the welfare and safety of the college community during the day, including evenings and when necessary.
* Assist caretakers with security of the buildings.
* Supervise the Youth and Safety Rangers throughout the college.
Qualifications & Skills
* Empathy for young people and the ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour and manage difficult situations.
* Excellent communication and administrative skills.
* Desirable: Qualification in youth work or willingness to work towards one.
* Desirable: First aid qualification or willingness to undertake training within 6 months.
Working Conditions
This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus. As Suffolk has multiple campuses, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
