Personal Assistant to Regional Employment Judge/Admin Officer
We are looking for a Personal Assistant / Admin Officer to support a Regional Employment Judge and HMCTS.
General Information
* Salary: £25,582
* Location: Cardiff Region, Wales
* Job Type: Permanent Civil Service Grade AO
* Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hrs/week); part-time and job-share options available under MoJ policy.
* Closing Date: 17-Dec-2025
Responsibilities
As a Personal Assistant you will:
* Provide secretarial support to the Regional Employment Judge and other tribunal members.
* Plan travel, book hotels, arrange meeting venues.
* Manage diaries, update the Judgments spreadsheet weekly.
* Keep confidential filing system, collate papers for judge meetings.
* Prepare minutes, send synthesised lists, report to the President’s Office.
* Coordinate with Non‑Legal Members, manage appointments, log complaints, arrange appraisals.
* Maintain records on OneNote, manage new judge files, visa and immigration records.
* Support salaried judges, coordinate meetings, and provide general admin assistance.
* All tasks carried out in line with confidentiality and HMCTS standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Excellent customer service skills and a friendly/approachable manner.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and OneNote.
* Strong typing and organisational skills.
* Experience in diary management, travel booking, confidential filing and meeting coordination.
* Knowledge of tribunal and court processes is desirable.
* Experience with hospitality arrangements and event coordination.
* Report writing and correspondence management.

All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Joining date subject to MoJ policies and Civil Service requirements.
