Here at Long-Term Teachers we are currently working with a Primary School in the BS15 area of Bristol who are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience working with SEND.
This Primary School is a diverse, energetic and friendly school who offer a nurturing and inclusive community to help children learn and grow.
Since September, the school have built a classroom to support children with additional needs who need 1 to 1 support with their learning and social development.
The Role
With the growth of this new classroom, the school are currently seeking someone who has vast experience working with SEND, someone who is nurturing and is able to set boundaries but provide an engaging and fun learning environment.
The Head Teacher is ideally looking for someone who has experience within SEND schools or has experience with Team Teach but this is not necessarily.
You will be expected to:
* Have previous experience of working with children.
* Have high expectations of Positive Behaviour Management.
* Communicate clearly with class teachers about lesson activities and expectations.
* Work closely with the school SENCO to understand EHCPs and individual needs.
* Work in a team environment, support each other and use previous knowledge to use your initiative.
