We are looking to recruitan Occupational Therapist with experience of Palliative Care to join our enthusiastic Rehab team.
Contract: Permanent
Salary:Hospice Band 6 £39,388 - £46,311,pro rata
Working Pattern:30 to 37.5 hours over 4/5 days including Fridays
Based at:Cross site post - primarily based at Heald Green site

The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard/Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice. Any post holder within the organisation will be expected to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to their role and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures. All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.

Main duties of the job
The Occupational Therapist will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team; they will be a role model for clinical staff, demonstrating a professional and proactive approach to providing rehabilitative advice and support to patients with life limiting illnesses.
The Occupational Therapist will work with rehabilitation team colleagues to deliver a Occupational Therapy service at the Heald Green Site, and providing cross cover site to Little Hulton as needed. They will need to be able to prioritise and work efficiently to ensure the complex needs of in patients and outpatients are met in a timely manner.
The Occupational Therapist will actively participate in developing cross site Occupational Therapy services at the hospice.
The Occupational Therapist will be aware of and deliver services in line with best practice guidelines and the requirements of the care quality commission in order to ensure the aims and objectives of the organisation are met.
