Join Our Team as a Transport First Line Manager!

At GXO, we are currently seeking a Transport First Line Manager to join our team in Enfield, supporting our valued customer, Iceland. In this role, you will provide essential leadership and guidance to our transport team, ensuring they meet their objectives while fostering open communication to tackle operational challenges effectively and promptly.


Position Details

This is a full-time, permanent position with a rotating 3-week shift pattern:

* Week 1: Monday to Friday - 10:00 - 18:00 (Wednesday 11:00 - 19:00)
* Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday (Wednesday 07:00 - 15:00; other days 07:00 - 19:00)
* Week 3: Sunday, Monday, and Thursday (07:00 - 19:00)

Your Daily Responsibilities

As a Transport First Line Manager, you will:

* Effectively manage and motivate your team to ensure adherence to company and site-specific policies.
* Ensure compliance with Working Time and EU Driving Regulations.
* Encourage open communication among colleagues and management teams.
* Lead your team to meet and exceed operational objectives, including service provision, productivity, and fuel KPIs.


What You Need to Succeed at GXO

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

* A solid understanding of EU/Working Time Regulations and Tacho management, with experience in a Trade Union environment being desirable.
* Strong leadership skills to develop and coach your team for excellent performance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
