This role is part of the Business Support team within Defence, working specifically within the Delivery & Execution organisation. The primary purpose of this part of the organisation is to provide a “gearbox” between the Programmes and Profit & Loss (P&L) parts of the organisation in relation to all aspects of product delivery. Specifically in the role of Value Stream Integration Lead you will be responsible for helping establish the yearly delivery plan, developing and driving the governance around the execution of this plan via a robust Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process and leading significant interventions to improve the outlook both through the lens of the Programme Customers and Supplier activities. This role will directly report to the VP – Value Stream Integration UK. What you will be doing: Key to success will be timely escalation/intervention, flawless two-way communication, and influence across the Division/Group. The role itself will be highly visible, cutting across levels with the aim to drive the best possible result for One Rolls-Royce. These levels will include engagement with Supplier and Customer facing organisations, providing business support as required. This may require up to 100% travel or deployment. What you will be doing: Develop a close working relationship with Programmes, Procurement/Make and OE/Aftermarket build facilities to manage and deliver material to the requirements of the delivery plan for the Defence business. Support development of the yearly delivery plan, helping to provide robust input and suitable challenges to ensure the best overall balanced plan between what the P&L Organisations require and what the Supply Chain Organisations can provide. Once created, refresh the plan in-line with new medium-term intelligence. Interface with both Customer and Supplier facing Teams with a “can do” mindset, helping to enable Defence success. Provide robust and effective governance via a Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process, driving highly effective processes and impactful interventions when required. Lead initial level of escalations with both the P&L and Supply Chain Organisations, supporting Customer and Supplier engagements as required. Support and lead where required primary aspects of Divisional level product delivery reporting, both for Supply Chain and P&L Organisations, ensuring good forward visibility. Position qualifications: Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a proven track record in multiple discipline roles A keen ability to multitask, while ensuring attention to detail is not compromised Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management with colleagues and key stakeholders (perceptive and adaptable) with demonstratable experience Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, embracing simplicity Excellent ability to interface at all levels of the organisation, helping to solve problems when facing evolving situations Proven record of influencing and leading outside of direct management accountability In depth understanding of the Defence business, with a strong passion for the mission Extensive experience with Supply Chain in a large international business, with experience in manufacturing and lean a strong positive Supply Chain planning experience across multi-sites in a global construct “Can-do” mindset, with a positive approach to demanding situations where others require support Preferred requirements: Adept in SAP and Excel Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities regarding analysing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions. Ability to work cross functionally with people within Rolls-Royce’s various Programmes and supply chains to ensure clear problem definition, identification of constraints, action governance, and achievement of the required deliverables.
