UHBW are looking to recruit Registered Nurse Degree Apprentices (RNDA) candidates to start in October 2024! This programme offers the opportunity for you to gain hands on experience and earn a salary within a four-year apprenticeship programme which will lead you to become a BSc (Hons) Registered Nurse.
Prior experience in a healthcare role is not essential, but a commitment to providing care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centred is an essential requirement.
A passion for learning and developing your clinical nursing skills will be required to enable you be one of our nurses of the future.
The course is full time (37.5hours a week) over a fixed 4-year term starting as a Band 3 RNDA and progress up to a Band 5 on gaining Nursing Midwifery Council registration.
To progress your application, it is essential that you have:
* GCSE in English and Maths at level C/4 or above (or equivalent e.g. Functional Skills L2) complete at the point of application
* 3 A Level's at Grade C or above or equivalent, or level 3 study recognised to be sufficient for entry (this may include a full level 3 Apprenticeship, Higher Diploma, BTEC, CTEC )
* The right to work in the UK
* Have an eligible residency status for apprenticeship funding
Main duties of the job
You will be working clinically throughout your apprenticeship, initially as a Senior Health Care Support worker whilst undertaking your apprenticeship studies. You will gain experience in a range clinical environments.
The RNDA course is designed to provide you with an integrated academic and professional training environment, to enable you to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills for a career in contemporary nursing practice. The four-year, programme consists of adult, child, or mental health fields of practice. It complies with the NMC requirement of 50% theory and 50% practice overall, providing you with the opportunity to complete 2300 hours of theory and 2300 hours of practice learning.
