1. Successfully implement inventory plans and purchase order processes to optimize service levels and investment.
2. Manage and strictly optimize supplier delivery performance to improve customer experience.
3. Improve inventory quality by reducing non-productive and D&E inventory exposure.
4. Design, refine, and implement processes to improve time management and operational efficiency.
5. Identify issues, analyze data, and make sound decisions, advancing to senior buyers when necessary.
6. Ensure service level targets (fill rate, availability) are met.
7. Understand company metrics and their impact on performance.
8. Skillfully lead all aspects of inventory management and purchasing operations.
9. Build and maintain positive relationships with collaborators and customers.
10. Track purchase orders and take action on delays.
11. Manage data flow through each stage of purchase orders, providing timely updates.
12. Review and improve delivery times to avoid shortages.
13. Participate in PPI initiatives to identify and recommend improvements and cost savings.
14. Address delivery issues in collaboration with warehouses.
15. Contribute to data accuracy in the system.
16. Maintain high internal customer service standards.
17. Drive improved supplier performance through metrics and regular reviews.
18. Independently manage supplier relationships, including negotiations.
19. Proactively improve supplier performance reports.
20. Assist in training new team members.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications / Proficiencies:

21. Proven knowledge and experience in purchasing/inventory management in a distribution environment.
22. Expertise in inventory management systems and methods.
23. Outstanding analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
24. Supplier negotiation experience to influence performance.
25. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
26. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
27. Demonstrable organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
28. Ability to process and analyze large data volumes accurately and make decisions based on facts.
29. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of initiatives and complete them independently.
30. Flexibility and excellent time management to meet tight deadlines.
31. Strong customer service orientation.
32. Bi-lingual proficiency in English.
