Overview

The vacancy: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Learning Specialist to join us within our L&D Team in our Glasgow office. We are open to considering candidates on a part time or full-time basis.


What will your role look like?

This role is part of the Digital and Systems team in L&D and reports to the L&D BP (Digital and Systems). There are three main areas of accountability:

* Supporting the management, maintenance and usage of our LMS and co-ordinating firm-wide mandatory learning.
* Creation and maintenance of eLearning modules.
* Providing digital expertise in video editing, exploration of emerging digital learning tools and upskilling of the wider L&D team in those tools.

Key tasks include:

* Supporting the management, maintenance and usage of our LMS and co-ordinating firm-wide mandatory learning.
* Supporting the L&D BP (Digital & Systems) to manage and maintain our LMS, capable at Superadmin/Expert level (e.g., uploading content, creating courses, learning plans, email notifications, producing reports, creating and maintaining pages, user management, addressing SAW requests/trouble tickets). This role involves both in-depth knowledge of the LMS backend and interaction with colleagues across the firm as they use the system.
* Creation of quarterly newsletter (with Facilitation team input) for firmwide advertising of learning.
* Scheduling annual refreshers, reporting and working closely with mandatory learning owners.
* Working with subject matter experts to create mandatory eLearning modules (Articulate).
* Using eLearning authoring tools (Articulate) to create and update eLearning modules (in addition to mandatory modules).
* Editing of session recordings (Clipchamp and Vimeo), uploading to LMS or eLearning courses.
* Keeping abreast of emerging learning technologies and upskilling the L&D team in these.
* Involvement in ad hoc learning projects aligned to the firm’s strategic imperatives (e.g., DEI, Digital, Leadership, Engagement).


To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have

* Knowledge of learning management systems (purpose, structure, processes, management).
* Experience using Articulate to create eLearning, including working with SMEs and maintaining eLearning modules in Articulate.
* Understanding of learning methodologies/impact assessment.
* Ability to prioritise effectively across competing demands and stakeholders; organized and comfortable working under pressure to manage short- and long-term deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of learning content, data entries, and system configurations within digital learning platforms.
* eLearning authoring skills delivering creative, engaging learning (Articulate).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Client-focused and business curious, able to build collaborative relationships across levels.
* Curious about new learning technologies; explore the market to build knowledge and assess usefulness for Hymans (e.g., AI, VR, gamification).
* Experience with a variety of learning mediums such as podcasts, videos, interactive PDFs, animated videos.
* Experience using virtual collaboration tools (e.g., MIRO, SLIDO, SharePoint).


Desirable Skills

* Creative individual with graphic design knowledge would be an advantage.
* Other digital learning media skills (e.g., videos, podcasts, virtual collaboration, webinar and animation tools) would be an advantage.
* Experience with building Power BI dashboards would be useful but is not essential.
