Overview
MUFG is seeking an Assistant Vice President Credit Manager for its Securitisation team in London. The role focuses on assessing and managing credit risks within structured finance transactions, primarily securitisation.
Responsibilities
* Review complex credit applications for asset‑backed finance transactions such as auto/consumer credit, RMBS, trade receivables, and other structured products.
* Collaborate closely with senior colleagues to align recommendations with MUFG’s risk appetite.
* Monitor the portfolio continuously, identifying emerging risks and taking timely action in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
* Contribute to developing robust credit risk frameworks that support both shareholder interests and client requirements.
* Represent the division at internal forums, share knowledge across teams, and support strategic initiatives aimed at improving credit processes.
* Ensure high‑quality written and verbal communication of complex credit matters to senior management and junior staff.
* Prioritise tasks with urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Act as a role model for risk culture, demonstrating accountability, curiosity, and partnership with colleagues.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in credit or structuring roles within financial institutions, ideally focused on securitisation transactions.
* Familiarity with asset classes such as auto/consumer credit, RMBS, trade receivables, working capital, or other structured products.
* Solid background in corporate banking or structured finance, understanding market dynamics and legal implications.
* Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
* Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with advanced numerical proficiency.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis.
* Results‑driven mindset, dependable under pressure, and proactive attitude toward managing workload efficiently.
