Skills, knowledge, and expertise

About you

Working with asbestos requires precision, care, and a strong sense of responsibility. To do well in this role, you’ll need great attention to detail, a methodical approach, and a genuine interest in science and the built environment. You’ll be visiting different sites most days, so flexibility is key. You don’t need to know everything from day one – what matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to learn. And if you think you’d be a great fit, even if your background doesn’t match perfectly, we’re always open to hearing from motivated individuals.

Note: Due to the nature of the apprenticeship and being required to travel within the region, you will need to be 18+ and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Eligibility

There are some minimum requirements you’ll need to meet in order to do an apprenticeship, these are rules set by the UK Government. To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate that the program will provide learning and experiences beyond their current qualifications and professional expertise. If you already hold a Level 3, degree or equivalent higher-level qualification in a closely related field, or possess substantial relevant experience, you may not be eligible for apprenticeship funding. You’ll need to be over 16, not in full-time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years and have the right to work in the UK. If you don’t quite meet these minimum requirements yet, let us know you’re interested here and we’ll get in touch to discuss this further with you.
