About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Inside Sales / Counter Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, providing outstanding service, and contributing to business growth.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers - assisting them both in person and over the phone. You'll process orders, provide product advice, and ensure every customer enjoys a smooth and professional experience. Working closely with the sales and distribution teams, you'll play a key role in driving sales and supporting our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service both at the counter and over the phone.
Assist customers in identifying the right products and recommend alternatives when needed.
Accurately process sales orders, quotes, and pricing details.
Handle product inquiries, stock checks, and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Build strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
Make proactive follow-up calls to generate additional sales opportunities.
Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support account management.
Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales area, replenishing stock as required.
Educate customers on product features, terminology, and benefits.
Provide technical assistance and product demonstrations where necessary.
Ensure all administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry, are completed accurately.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in an inside sales, counter sales, or customer service role (preferably within a trade, distribution, or technical environment).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to build rapport quickly.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders.
Confident multitasker with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
A positive, professional attitude and a passion for providing top-quality service.
Competent using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or CRM systems is an advantage.
