We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Philip Southcote School, part of Bourne Education Trust. This role is based at our Satellite Centre in Chertsey High School.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide targeted provision and care to pupils under the guidance of Teachers and Senior Leaders, to raise standards of achievement and promote independent learning. You will support pupil welfare and inclusion in line with school and Trust policies, reflecting the ethos and values of the school and Bourne Education Trust.

Details
Contract: Term time, permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8:00am–3:15pm, Mon–Fri), 39 weeks per year
* Location: Philip Southcote School Satellite Centre at Chertsey High School
Key responsibilities
* Work as part of a team under the direction of the responsible Teacher to support teaching provision and the development and implementation of learning for pupils
* Facilitate learning for individual pupils and groups, set high expectations and promote positive attitudes to learning
* Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need
Requirements
* Awareness and commitment to safeguarding of children
* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Demonstrated evidence of effective continuous professional development
* Relevant experience of working with children in an educational setting

Philip Southcote School is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school for students aged 11 to 19. It is part of Bourne Education Trust, a multi-academy trust of twenty-four schools across Surrey, Hampshire, and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The school’s aim is to prepare students for adulthood. The satellite sites are spread across five locations in Surrey, with each learning provision resourced to meet individual needs.
Philip Southcote Main School: 11 to 16 years. Philip Southcote Sixth Form: 16 to 19 years, located at The Meads. Satellite Centres include Chertsey High School (Chertsey), Epsom and Ewell High School, and Kings International School (Camberley).
