The role
Do you want to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of your community?
We are looking for passionate and driven individuals to join our Talk Community Healthy Lifestyle Team. The service provides integrated behaviour support for smoking cessation, weight management, alcohol reduction, physical activity, all embedded in sustainable behaviour change and positive wellbeing.
This role will primarily focus on delivering our stop smoking services across the county, and developing a ‘train the trainer’ model with our partners to expand the reach and delivery of the service.
About You
* You will be motivated, organized, and proactive, with experience in community health programs; passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and delivering client-centered motivational change.
* You will be confident and experienced in supporting groups and individuals, and in developing and facilitating training programs.
* You will have strong communication skills and confidence in delivering holistic health advice, including brief interventions, assessments, and ongoing support using proven behaviour change techniques.
* We consider candidates with backgrounds in smoking cessation, nutrition, exercise, public health, or community health, especially those experienced in health behaviour training, and who are excellent team players willing to learn and develop.
This role is locality-based, requiring travel across Herefordshire to work with partners and communities.
