We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer to join our Higher Education team at UCNL/UCDon. You will teach and support students on our FdSc Animal Welfare Science and BSc Applied Animal Welfare Science programmes, validated by the University of Hull.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly activity, and help shape the future of animal welfare education in our region.
This role is cross site to Doncaster College and North Lindsey College.
Actual Salary: 21.5 hours - £19, £24,904.87 per annum
22.5 hours - £20, £26,063.24 per annum
Working Pattern: 3 days per week, (Days to be agreed with the successful candidate)
Essential Criteria
* Degree in Animal Welfare Science or a closely related subject
* Minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of animal welfare science
* Ability to demonstrate understanding of teaching and supporting undergraduate students
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with HE quality assurance processes
* Act as a personal academic tutor, providing pastoral support to students
* Participate in curriculum planning, development, and programme documentation
* Engage in scholarly activity and contribute to subject and pedagogical development
* Support student engagement through module evaluations and surveys
* Assist with promotional activities and events for internal and external audiences
* Contribute to quality assurance processes, including annual programme reports and self-evaluation documentation
