Barley Lane School is a day special school. Our school provides education for up to 80 pupils aged 7-16 who benefit from small group and adapted learning. Although we are a small school that teaches to the national curriculum, we supplement this with nurture principles and relational practice to build trust, emotional development and resilience and a positive climate for learning. We embrace a change us to change them model, understanding a culture of consistent adult behaviour is an essential piece of practice when supporting children and young people with complex needs.

We are located in the St Thomas area of Exeter and are looking for a part time Exams Officer 18 hours per week 41 weeks per year to join our increasing relational family to grow and thrive together.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy managing essential processes that support learner success, this role could be the perfect fit.

1. You will need to be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
2. Able to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak exam periods.
3. Strong administrative and IT skills, including experience with data systems and spreadsheets.
4. Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
5. Flexible, reliable and able to manage competing deadlines.
6. Previous experience in exams administration or education is desirable.
7. Training required on an annual basis.
