Reception Teacher –Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £120 – £150 per day (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston is looking to appoint a Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EYFS practitioner or an enthusiastic ECT who is passionate about giving children the best possible start to their school journey. The successful candidate will create a stimulating and caring environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and early development in line with the EYFS framework. You’ll work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider Early Years team to deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching in EYFS, ideally in a Reception setting
* Strong understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum
* A nurturing, creative, and proactive approach to teaching
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will be fully supported in their induction.
Pay Information:
The daily rate is between £120 and £150, depending on experience. This applies for the first 12 weeks of the placement.
About Agency Worker Regulations (AWR):
After 12 weeks in the same role, Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) will apply. This means you’ll be entitled to the same pay and working conditions as a teacher employed directly by the school, ensuring fairness in salary, access to school benefits, and equal treatment in terms of workload and responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
