Join Holcim as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our Glensanda Quarry, one of the largest granite quarries in Europe, recently Glensanda exported its 200 millionth Tonne of Granite. You'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring smooth operations across our flagship site. Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to ensure continuous production.
Carry out cleaning, checking, testing, and repairing electrical equipment, including:
Participate in HV switching operations (training provided) and manage permits for high-voltage equipment.
Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and maintain cable installations.
Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log work, order parts, and track progress.
You’re a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, including fault-finding and repairs on various plant equipment. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance, City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent). Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Familiar with safe working practices, including LOTOTO, Work at Height, and Confined Space procedures.
This role requires flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
