* Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, addressing any payment queries effectively.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting within the accounts payable scope.
* Supervise and support junior team members in their daily tasks.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve payment processes and workflows.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimisation in accounts payable.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Manager should have:
* Strong experience in accounts payable within the accounting and finance department.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
* A keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Confidence in managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous
