Commercial Manager – Solar, BESS, EV and Renewable Heating North West (Hybrid / Field-Based) Residential & Commercial Energy Efficiency Projects Salary Up to £90,000 performance-based bonus Are you a commercially minded leader with a strong background in renewable energy or energy efficiency solutions? We’re looking for a Commercial Manager to oversee and drive growth across our Solar PV, BESS, and Low-carbon heating divisions, delivering impactful solutions to both domestic and business customers. About the Role This is a pivotal role within a growing, forward-thinking renewable energy company that’s helping homes and businesses cut costs and carbon. You’ll take ownership of commercial operations, from pricing strategy and bid management to supplier negotiations and client partnerships. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and project delivery teams to ensure all commercial activities are profitable, compliant, and aligned with company growth goals. Key Responsibilities Lead all commercial aspects of Solar PV, BESS and ASHP projects across residential and commercial portfolios Prepare and review tenders, quotes, and contracts for both public and private sector clients Develop pricing models, margin strategies, and risk assessments for each service line Negotiate supplier and subcontractor agreements to optimise project profitability Support the sales team in structuring competitive, compliant bids Monitor project costs, variations, and performance against budget Ensure adherence to industry standards, frameworks, and funding schemes (ECO4, Boiler Upgrade Scheme, etc.) Contribute to business development by identifying new revenue streams and partnership opportunities About You Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Contracts Manager within the Renewable Energy, M&E, or Construction sector Strong understanding of Solar PV, BESS, ASHP, and Insulation markets (domestic and commercial) Skilled in contract negotiation, financial management, and stakeholder engagement Knowledge of UK funding mechanisms and compliance standards within energy efficiency Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills Based in the North West with flexibility to travel to sites and client meetings across the region What’s on Offer Salary Up to £90,000 performance-based bonus Company car or allowance Hybrid working (office/home/field) Opportunities for career progression in an Industry Leading business which is still growing Interested?
