We have an opening for a Project Civil Engineer to assist with the preparation and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure designs in our busy Northampton office. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Civil Engineering Associate or Principal Engineer and Project Partner, responsible for producing and managing information for clients and the design team.

The role
* Design surface water drainage, incorporating SuDS principles in collaboration with team members.
* Design foul water drainage, including considerations for pumping stations, treatment plants, and nutrient neutrality.
* Develop level strategies focusing on cut and fill optimization and spatial planning.
* Create external works packages with Urban Designers, considering long sections, cross sections, and pavement design.
* Develop flood risk and surface water strategies for sites with complex flood exposure, from pre-acquisition to delivery.
* Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Evacuation Plans, and Drainage Strategies for planning applications.
* Assist in risk assessments compliant with CDM Regulations, and produce project specifications and method statements.
* Conduct site visits and surveys, and prepare reports.
* Develop engineering models, designs, drawings, reports, and specifications.
What you need to succeed
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.
* Creativity and innovation in civil engineering design, including highways and drainage, following relevant standards.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations application.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of professional risk management.
* Good knowledge of relevant regulations such as Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Sewers for Adoption.
