In this role, you will have the opportunity to personally make a difference to our patients lives and the lives of their carers and relatives every single day. Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting our Registered Nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. This role is varied and busy, requiring you to work a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Requirements and expectations
You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply for the role and be willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role, which includes long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities within your application, show how you develop and maintain positive working relationships, and evidencing how you would demonstrate our Trust values.

Interview process
We will be holding an in-person HCSW Interview Day on Monday 20th October 2025 at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke. The event will include a presentation, talks from our clinical staff and a face-to-face interview. No further interview dates are available and you must be able to attend in person.
