Job Title: SEND Support Assistant - Full Time Location: Solihull Start Date: After Half Term Contract: Full-time (5 days per week) Rate: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Solihull to recruit a SEND Support Assistant to work full‑time within the school's unofficial specialist provision area. This role involves working within an unofficial resource base, supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and cognition & learning needs. Support will take place both 1:1 and in small groups of up to 4 children, often outside the mainstream classroom. The school is looking for a highly experienced, confident practitioner who can work independently, take initiative, and adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, starting after half term and continuing until the end of the academic year. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have substantial experience working with children with SEND, ideally across a range of primary year groups. Be confident working independently, using initiative to manage learning sessions, behaviour, and support strategies effectively. Have experience supporting pupils with: Autism (ASD) ADHD Challenging Behaviour Be able to lead 1:1 interventions and small-group sessions (up to 4 pupils) outside the classroom - Planning will be done for you. Build strong, trusting relationships with children who may have complex needs or require tailored emotional support. Use consistent, calm, and positive behaviour‑management approaches. Work collaboratively with the SENCo, class teachers, and the wider support team to deliver personalised learning. Show patience, resilience, and a child‑centred approach at all times. Have excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and flexible attitude.
