Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong focus on patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
* Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist pharmacists in the preparation and administration of medications, including compounding when necessary.
* Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on their use.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure stock availability.
* Conduct regular checks for expired medications and assist in the disposal process as per guidelines.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures is essential.
* Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are crucial for this role.
* A relevant qualification in pharmacy or related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with significant experience.
