Would you like to train in endoscopy or develop Gastroenterology skills? The Gastroenterology Department at the RUH is expanding and are looking for an Endoscopy fellow to start before January 2025. The successful candidate will have a bespoke flexible timetable to meet training needs and a great opportunity to train in gastroscopy, colonoscopy or ERCP. There is flexibility within the role to provide endoscopy training and clinics tailored to previous experience and subspecialty training needs.
There are a wide range of educational opportunities available, including specialist MDTs, hepatology clinics, viral hepatitis clinics, nutrition ward rounds, joint obstetric/IBD clinics, pelvic floor clinics, ERCP lists, large polyp lists and regular endoscopy training courses.
Main duties of the job
* The role can include outpatient clinics, endoscopy, gastroenterology ward cover and on-call duties.
* The clinical fellow will join 6-8 middle grades covering gastroenterology and/or hepatology. As part of the endoscopy unit development programme, the successful candidate is encouraged to participate in endoscopy audit and research projects.
* The successful candidate will join our middle grade tier, so PACES is essential.
