Client Overview:
Our client is a leading organization in the wealth management sector, undertaking a major data transformation initiative. They are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to lead the migration of legacy/on-premises systems to Snowflake.
Role Overview:
The Lead Snowflake Data Engineer will design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize performance, and ensure high-quality data solutions for complex business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement end-to-end data migration pipelines to Snowflake.
* Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
* Manage Snowflake objects and implement advanced features (streams, tasks, Snowpipe, time travel).
* Optimize query performance and maintain dimensional models (SCDs, star/snowflake schema).
* Integrate Snowflake with Databricks and other tools.
* Collaborate with teams and act as a technical point of contact for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 10–12 years in BFSI, with at least 2 years in wealth management.
* 7–10 years in data warehousing/data management projects.
* Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
* Experience with structured and semi-structured data, dimensional modeling, and large-scale migrations.
