JOB TITLE: Extrusion Technician
LOCATION: Telford – Stafford Park
HOURS: 4 on 4 off, days and nights. 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am.
Job Purpose:
The Extrusion Technician will be responsible for the product turnaround of the extrusion process from shutdown to tool change to start-up, including basic maintenance. A key aspect of this role will be fault rectification and problem solving as assigned by their Team Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
2. Carry out relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
3. Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from good production.
4. Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
5. Record all required information for all operations as per company work instructions/procedures.
6. Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
7. Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
8. Safeguard property issued by the company.
9. Carry out product changes as required.
10. Shutdown extrusion machine (including emergency shutdown).
11. Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed.
12. Install/uninstall extrusion tools.
13. Carry out low-level maintenance tasks when required.
14. Start extrusion machines.
15. Fault rectification and problem solving.
16. Transfer knowledge and skills among the team.
17. Undertake reasonable duties as required.
18. Adhere to all organisational policies, management systems, and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities related to Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
19. Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel.
20. Represent the organisation positively to maintain corporate image.
21. Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
