JOB TITLE: Extrusion Technician
LOCATION: Telford – Stafford Park
HOURS:
4 on 4 off, days and nights. 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am.
Job Purpose:
The Extrusion Technician will be responsible for the product turnaround of the extrusion process from shutdown to tool change to start-up, including basic maintenance. A key aspect of this role will be fault rectification and problem solving as assigned by the Team Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Monitor and record process parameters at required times.
2. Perform relevant checks on assigned products according to the product quality plan.
3. Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming product from good production.
4. Communicate information via relevant channels.
5. Record all information for operations as per company instructions/procedures.
6. Alert relevant personnel to process and product concerns.
7. Complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager.
8. Safeguard company property.
9. Carry out product changes as required.
10. Shutdown extrusion machine, including emergency shutdown.
11. Maintain a clean and tidy workplace following housekeeping procedures.
12. Install and uninstall extrusion tools.
13. Perform low-level maintenance tasks when required.
14. Start extrusion machines.
15. Fault rectification and problem solving.
16. Transfer knowledge and skills among team members.
17. Undertake additional duties as required.
18. Adhere to all organizational policies, management systems, and operational procedures, including health, safety, environmental, and quality responsibilities.
19. Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel.
20. Represent the organization positively to protect its image.
21. Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
